Crafty Sunday

I was so looking forward to yesterday’s clay jewelry making workshop! I had the perfect Sunday planned out, I will have my yoga class from 8:30-9:30, jewelry workshop from 10:30 – 1:30 and then meet Lira and Laurence at The Artgound by 2pm so Lira can play at maybe even catch the show there.

My yoga class went well! I tried the camel pose for the first time and my instructor said it was perfect! I did not realize that the class had extended until 10am mainly because our instructor made us do more asanas and talked about health, etc.

I went to check our mommy group chat to be greeted with messages confirming if I am at the jewelry workshop already. That’s when it hit me. The class starts at 10am. Horror of horrors! I took a cab, told the uncle I was in a rush (hint please drive faster) and made it to the venue, I was 40 minutes late.

I obviously did not get the most punctual student award but I guess I created pretty decent pieces considering the time that we were alloted to conceptualize and create our beads! I made two necklaces and a pair of earrings. To say that I enjoyed it is an understatement! It was super therapeutic and I have always been into arts and crafts although I wish I am more creative.
